WATCH: PAC team launch new campaign tackling public transport accessibility

Updated: 5 days ago

The Bradford City FC Community Foundation’s Peer Action Collective team, a collaborative social action programme delivered by young people, for young people, have launched their next campaign film.

The campaign focuses on tackling barriers to positive activities to young people in the region, with a focus in this instance on transport. The film sees young people discuss the factors which prevent them accessing public transport, with an emphasis on the dual issues of cost and safety.

Watch the film:

Access to positive activities has been a key arm of the PAC team’s work in recent months. At the start of 2025 they launched the Positive Activities Map, a resource designed to act as a free-to-use directory of positive activities across Bradford. The map is free to download, and includes a range of activities including youth clubs, social groups and more, and is available in both desktop and mobile versions.

Support our work:

The Foundation if inviting stakeholders across the transport sector, who feel they could support our PAC team's efforts in ensuring public transport is safe, accessible and affordable for young people, to get in touch.

Please email office@bcfccommunity.co.uk to speak to our team about how, together, we can break down barriers to positive activities for the young people at the heart of our communities.

More on PAC:

Funded by the Youth Endowment Fund, the #iwill Fund (a joint investment between The National Lottery Community Fund and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport) and the Co-op Group, the PAC is here to support young people to take the lead. It’s a ground-breaking network of peer researchers. That means that young people will be in charge of asking questions and finding out what needs to happen to make their area a better place to live.
